OUI — First Offense

Client was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint and failed field sobriety tests. Successfully challenged the reliability of the standardized tests and the officer's administration of them. Jury returned a not guilty verdict after a one-day trial.

Assault & Battery

Client was charged following a domestic dispute. After investigation revealed inconsistencies in the complainant's account and no corroborating physical evidence, the Commonwealth moved to dismiss prior to trial.

Charges ReducedSuperior Court

Felony Drug Trafficking → Possession

Client faced mandatory minimum sentence on trafficking charge. Challenged the search warrant affidavit and moved to suppress the seized evidence. Commonwealth agreed to reduce to simple possession; client received probation with no incarceration.

Not GuiltySuperior Court

Breaking & Entering

Client was identified by a single eyewitness. Retained an expert on eyewitness identification and cross-examined the Commonwealth's witness extensively. Jury acquitted on all counts after deliberating less than two hours.

DismissedDistrict Court

Possession with Intent to Distribute

Moved to suppress evidence obtained during a warrantless vehicle search. Judge agreed that the stop lacked reasonable suspicion and suppressed all evidence. Commonwealth dismissed the case.

Probation — No JailSuperior Court

Felony Assault

Client faced up to five years on a felony assault charge. Negotiated a plea to a reduced charge with a suspended sentence and two years of probation, allowing the client to remain employed and with their family.

Continuance Without FindingDistrict Court

Misdemeanor Larceny

First-time offender charged with shoplifting. Negotiated a continuance without a finding, keeping the client's record clean upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Restraining Order Violation

Client was accused of contacting a protected party. Presented phone records and witness testimony establishing the contact was initiated by the protected party. Judge found the client not guilty after a bench trial.
